Overview
Our Cycle Life Testing program subjects batteries to rigorous charge/discharge cycling to verify real-world lifespan claims. Every battery model undergoes thousands of cycles under controlled conditions to ensure our products deliver the promised 5-10 year service life in the field.
Testing Protocol
- Initial Characterization: Full capacity measurement at 0.2C discharge rate
- Standard Cycling: 1C charge to 3.65V, rest, 1C discharge to 2.5V — repeated continuously
- Periodic Assessment: Every 100 cycles, full capacity check at 0.2C
- End-of-Life Criteria: Capacity retention <80% of rated capacity
- Temperature Monitoring: Continuous recording at 25°C ± 2°C ambient
Test Equipment
- Multi-channel battery analyzers (Arbin BT-2000, Neware BTS-4000)
- Environmental chambers (Espec, -40°C to +150°C)
- Precision impedance measurement (Hioki BT3562)
- Thermal imaging cameras for hot-spot detection
