IEC 61215 Test Sequence (Solar Panel Qualification)
- Visual Inspection: No visible defects (cracks, bubbles, delamination)
- Max Power Determination: STC measurement (1000W/m², 25°C, AM1.5)
- Insulation Test: 1000V DC + 2× system voltage, >40MΩ
- Wet Leakage Current: >40MΩ under water spray
- Thermal Cycling: -40°C to +85°C, 200 cycles
- Humidity-Freeze: +85°C/85% RH → -40°C, 10 cycles
- Damp Heat: +85°C/85% RH, 1000 hours
- UV Preconditioning: 15 kWh/m² UV exposure
- Mechanical Load: 2400 Pa front + 2400 Pa back
- Hail Impact: 25mm ice ball at 23 m/s
Pass Criteria
- Max power degradation <5% after each test sequence
- No visible defects (IEC 61215 Clause 10.1)
- Insulation resistance remains above requirements
- No ground fault or arc flash incidents
